At a special mooting of the City Council to night, it was resolved to recommend the following works, to be approved by a vote of citizens : Waterworks extension, £15,000; drainage, £05,000; gas extension, £4000; road roller, £IOOO ; tramway, £IO,OOO ; Council Chamber, £O,OOO ; gas lamps, £6oo—
The Countess of Rnnfurly will open the Nelson School of Music and Concert Hall on Tuesday, when a concert will bo given, mid an ode composed byMrJ.Toynt, with music by Herr Lemmer, Principal of the School of Music, will bo sung.
