Funeral at Greymouth.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Greymouth, last night.
The body of the Hon. James Kerr was buried this aftornoon with Masonic rites. Tho weather was boisterous and rainy ; still the funeral was the largest ever seen in Greymouth. Every cab and carriage in town, besides two large drags, were in the funeral cortege. The Hons. Seddon and Walker represented the Ministry, and the Hons. Jennings, Bigg, aud Feldwiek, besides friends from Wellington, took part. All the local bodies were numerously represented, the Education and Harbor Boards aud Borough Council. Many people came from Hokitika and every part of Grey’s Valley. Never in the history of Greymouth was there so great a demonstration of sympathy and respect.
