Poisoned Food.
A FIENDISH COOK,
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, Aug. 22. Nows has been received that the Sydney schooner Envy put into Singapore. Captain Strachan, who was accompanied by his wife and son, reported that he, his family, and tho chief officer, several times oil the voyage suffered from symptoms of poisoning. William Brodic, the cook, confessed that an Arab sailor gave him poison, which he put into the food. Tho Arab was placed in irons, and next morning was found dead, having committed suicide. Brodic was handed over to tho police.
