[By Telegraph—Pres3 Association.] Christchurch, last night. Chas. McCutcheson was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for forging and uttering a cheque. David Miller was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment for stealing articles to the value of £4 13s 6d from the Royal Hotel, Lyttelton. The same prisoner was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment for escaping from custody at Lyttelton. William Patrick Miller was admitted to probation for nine months for assisting Miller to escape from custody.
