A SHARP REBUFF FROM THE PREMIER.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. A deputation of members of tho Trading Stamp Association waited on the Premier to protest against the passage of tlie Trading Stamp Abolition and Discount Stamp Abolition Act Amendment Bill. The deputation pointed out that the present system was the most equitable ever introduced, and asked tho Premier to make himself acquainted with its working. Mr Seddon, replying, said that ho was determined to go on with the Bill, and to do all in his power to destroy every system of discount tickets and coupons in existence.
