AUCTIONS BILL.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. A deputation of auctioneers waited on the Minister of Lands to-day, and protested against the Land and Live Stock Auctions Bill. Tho Minister requested that they should put their arguments in writing, but agreed to endeavor to delay the Bill for three weeks in order to give the auctioneers time to communicate with persons following a similar line of business in other parts of the colony. The Bill chiefly aims at suppressing “ trotting ” at sales.
