(To the Editor of tho Times ) Sik,—Can you tell me why there are so many idle men about the street corners in Gisborne '? Is work not to he had, or is tho place overrun with men ? Or are wage:? low ? lam sure there arc more men loafers about this town than Jn any other town in New Zealand. Day after day they are to he seen hanging about the hotels. * They do not work, but get plenty of beer. I do not mean working men who may bo out of work for a time.
