WHAT OBJECT?

(To the Editor of Times.) Sir.,—l have come to the conclusion that tho suburban amalgamation proposal is being merely used to block water and drainage. There is every evidence of that. Mr Lysnar is an able general, and when he sets his mind against anything something has got tq go, Ho has not in anything shown constructive ability ; he is all for pulling down. He is agin everything, even to the canary fence, gilded or otherwise, on the river bank. Is he likely to ho a success as a constructor ? Mr Matthcwson tells the Borough ratepayers plainly that if they admit the suburbanites the latter will claim the right to reject any public works scheme. As a borough ratepayer I think we can well get along without such interference.—l am, etc., Boro.
