THEY WANT HEAVY FEDERAL TARIFF. HEAVY DUTIES AGAINST NEW ZEALAND. By Tolegnph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, July 22. •A number of leading delegates at tho recent Fanners’ Convention, interviewed on the Federal tariff question, wero unanimous on the following points:—That all revenue required should bo raised through the Customs, assistance given to local industries, heavy duties imposed on New Zealand products till that colony federates with Australia, and protection given to the sugar industry, so that it might bo carried on with white labor.
