DISCOVERY OF WRECKAGE.
SUPPOSED TO BE BARQUE G. M, TUCKER, By Telegraph—Press Association, Wellington, last night. Anxiety is felt in the City, and is accentuated by the discovery of the wreckage at Okarito, on the West Coast of the other Island, concerning the whereabouts of the barrjuc G- Tpckcr. The vessel was out form Newcastle exactly a month on Saturday. She is laden with coal, and is under the command of Captain Oliver, who at one time was in the service of the Union Company. The G. M. Tucker is well-known in Wellington harbor. It was the intention of the owner to have sent her to Auckland after this trip to be converted into a hulk.
