MAN DROWNED.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Napier, last night. The body of the man found in the water near Clive has been identified as that of John Prior, who had been working for a contractor in the district. The deceased was a man of weak intellect, and had been roaming about the country for tho last few weeks. It is not known whether ho had any relations in the colony. It is conjectured that the man may have got off the road [which after heavy rain is sometimes submerged at this part) and been drowned.
