FATAL RESULT OF FIREWORKS AT INVERCARGILL.

AN AGED WIDOW KILLED. SIX PEOPLE SENT TO HOSPITAL,

[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Invercargill, last night. A shocking fatality occurred during the fireworks display here. A bomb wont off horizontally among the crowd, and exploded in the face of Mrs Sncxd, an aged widow. It struck her full in tho faeo, and killed her. ITcr son had a great wound in the thigh. His wife is seriously bruised all over, and has contused wounds caused by the fragments of the bomb, and their son is also injured. The fireworks are also responsible for other injuries, more or less serious. In all six persons are in tho hospital in connection with the bomb explosion.
