By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night Shortly after Record Reign’s performance in the V.R.C. Grand National, negotiations wore opened with the owner, Mr D. A. McLeod, for tho purchase of tho horse, with tho result that a cablegram has been received from Melbourne, tho outcome of which being that the horse was sold for 820 guineas to Mr Traham, a wellknown Indian buyer. It is understood that the horse will be shipped to England.
