Home-coming Soldiers.

SEVERE WEATHER AFFECTS INVERCARGILL’S PREPARATIONS.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.)

Invercargill, last night. Matters in connection with the arrival of tho Tagus are in a stato of complete muddlement. With the weather now prevailing—sleet, snow, and squalls—it is possible that tho master of the ship will not come through tho straits, and she may turn up off Otago Heads on Wednesday. If so, it will be Thursday at the earliestbefore tho steamer gets back to the Bluff, perhaps too late to land the men and give them the reception being prepared ' for them. The weather to-night is vicious, sleety snow and stormy westerly winds.
