THE CHARGE AGAINST DU WILKINS.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Auckland, last night,

At the Police Court to-day, Dr John \\ illtius was charged that he did on or about May 17 murder Mary O’Dowd, wife of the licensee of the Criterion Hotel. Several witnesses were examined as to the movements of deceased on the day prior to the illness that culminated in her death, and as to her condition during the illness. Dr PeClive Lowe, who attended the patient, and Dr T. Hope Lewis, who held the post mortem on the body, were also examined, both giving the cause of death as acute blood-poisoning, brought on by means of some outside agency. The Court adjourned until to-morrow.
