WORKERS’ DWELLINGS,
[By Telegraph—Press Association]. Dunedin, last night. A conference took place this evening between the representatives of the CityCouncil and suburban boroughs, when it was resolved that a joint committee of the City and suburban councils bo set up to report on the necessity of erecting workers’ dwellings. A motion that a Greater Dunedin be formed by amalgamation of City and suburbs was lost by a very largo majority. NARROW ESCAPE.
A man named Patrick Flynn was rescued from the water at the wharf to-night. Ho is in the hospital in an unconscious condition.
