London, July 2. The National Bank of New Zealand balance-sheet shows a profit of -£63,293. A dividend of 8 per cent, was declared, and a bonus of 2 per cent. The sum of £30,000 was carried to reserve, and £8,293 carried forward. J. Hawker, of Adelaide, won the Gun Club's International Cup and 100 guineas. T. W. Eceles, of Sydney, won the minor cup and £SO. Hongkong, July 2. The Chinese have assumed partial government over the British section in Pekin. , Paris, July 2. ,A squadron of eleven battleships has gone to Tangiers.
