ANNUAL MEETING—IMPORTANT BUSINESS. [By Telegraph—Press Association]. Dunedin, Inst night. At tho annual meeting of tho Now Zealand Dairy Association it was unanimously resolved to congratulate Sir John McKenzie on the great honor conferred oil him, and to express the hope that his health will be so benefited ub to allow him to enjoy tho honor and benefit tho colony by further services. “It was resolved to combine with tho North Island Association with a viow to taking united action to procure a reduction on ocean freights. It was decided to take into consideration the making of regular shipments of butter. Mr Kinsella, Dairy Commissioner, drew attention to the unsatisfactory condition of a good deal of the cheese which arrived for shipment. After a motion for grading at the factories instead of at tho port of shipment was withdrawn, and further consideration postponed, it was resolved that the Association approve of tho Government taking steps at once to inspect all dairies as suggested last year. It was decided to approach the Government with a view to securing tho exemption of dairy factories and dairy people from the provisions of tho Workers’ Compensation for Accidonts Act.
