MR CARROLL AND THE DUKE.
[ Special to Times. | Auckland, last night. Whilst at Rotorua the Duke was very much taken up with Mr Carroll. The Heir-Apparent asked the Hon. James to accompany him to Christchurch, but Mr Carroll explained to His Highness that he could not accept tho invitation, as he would not be doing his duty to leave the Natives at Rotorua.
