ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER.
JURY DISAGREE,
[BY TELEGRAPH —TEESS ASSOCIATION.] Invercargill, last night. The trial of Charles Arnet, for an alleged attempt to poison White and Gordon at Edendale on October last, concluded to-night. The jury retired at 5.50, and at ten o’clock the foreman having said there was no probability of agreeing, His Honor discharged them, and said that he would make an order for the prisoner to be tried again at this sittings. The Crown Prosecutor said he had proposed going on with the indictment against Arnet for attempting to murder Charles Miles, tho man whose' money ho had stolen, and who was not included in the charge just heard. Wednesday next was fixed for the hearing. •
