A FARMER’S DEATH

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, last night. James Abraster Martin Wctherill, a .farmer, of Bangiora, left his house yesterday with a double-barrelled gun and one cartridge to have a shot at a hare. He was afterwards found dead by a fence. The gun was in the fence, and the cartridge was exploded, the shot having entered his left breast.
