New Zealand Rugby Union.
[BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, last night. Tho New Zealand Rugby Union met tonight. The application of the South Otago Union for admission was refused, the applicant being recommended to join the Otago Union. The Wauganui-Tarauaki “ rep ” match referee trouble was finally dealt with. It was resolved not to ro-open the matter. The McGuirk-Porteous trouble was similarly disposed of. It was resolved to reply to the Wanganui Union that the New Zealand Union had no power to adjudfeate on the interpretation of tho local Union’s bylaws. The question whether it was an act of professionalism for one club to pay back subscriptions owing by a player to another club was referred to the Appeal Committee.
It was reported that an itinerary was being arranged for tho Ne.v South Wales team. The new Appeal Committee are : G. H. Dixon, Auckland ;' A. C. Norris, Marlborough ; A. Campbell, G. C. Fache, and G. F. C. Campbell, all of Wellington.
