PORIRUA SCHOOL TRUST.
LAND BECOMES THE PROPERTY OF CROWN.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. In the case of the Solicitor-General v. Bishop Wallis and others, regarding the Porirua school trust, the Court of Appeal decided that the school, for the support of which the land was originally granted, had been abandoned, and the estate vested in the Bishop of New Zealand and his successors ceased to exist; therefore the funds and land had become the property of the Crown, and the Court had no jurisdiction to accept a scheme.
