A LUCKY MAYOR. [bv telegraph—cress association.] Wanganui, last night. _ At a meeting of the Borough Council to-night it was decided to vote the Mayor an honorarium of Tl5O. GRAND WATER SUPPPY.
What is believed to be the best artesian well in the 'colony has been struck on Mr J. T. Walker’s'property, in the suburb of Aramoho. The well is 575 feet deep, with an estimated flow of 700 gallons per minute, which is equal to, if not more, than the present borough supply from the ’Lakes.
