WELLINGTON NEWS.
THE HOSPITAL. [By Telegraph—Proas Association]. Wellington, last night. The annual statistics of the Wellington Hospital show that for the year ended March iiJst, 1534 patients were admitted, the number discharged was 1446, and the deaths numbered 95. The individual average stay in the institution was 32 days, and the daily average cost of maintenance was 4s Id. A total of 2416 out-door patients were treated. DANGEROUSLY ILL. Spence and Mcllcrtons, of the Sixth Contingent, arc dangerously ill at Pretoria. OTAKI BRIDGE. The Premier journeyed to Otaki to-day, and opened the new bridge over the river there. A large number of people wore present at the ceremony. THE DUKE.
A sale of tickets for admission to the main stand during the Royal procession was held to-night. Nearly a thousand were sold, at an average price of six shillings.
