The City Council, on the recommendation of the Tramways Committee, has resolved to invite applications from America and England and in the colonies-for the position of electrical tramway expert. If it'is found that a qualified expert can be found in’ the’ 'colonies, arrangements for the selection of "one abroad willbe cancelled. Itr was' also decided to prepare a bill for submission, to next session of Parliament, providing that if the ratepayers purchase Miramar Estate it shall immediately become part o£ the city.
