The representatives of the Surveyors’ Institute waited on tho Minister of Lands to-day, and drew his attention to the desirability of giving facilities for private survoyofk to undertake Government' work. They also suggested that steps be taken to have New'Zealand certificates recognised in South ‘Africa) wberd ijp doubt a considerable amount of surveying would have shortly to be done.
