PRESENTATION TO MRS SWAN,

Tho late Mayoress, Mrs G. H. Swan, was this afternoon the recipient of a handsome silver tea and coffee service, butter dish and tray, from a number of ladies, as a mark of appreciation of the manner in which sho had carried out tho duties of the position during the long mayoralty of her husband. The presentation was made by the present Mayoress, Mrs John McVay, on behalf of the subscribers. Airs Swan suitably replied, expressing her surprise and pleasure at being made the recipient of such a handsome gift.
