COALMINES COMMISSION
STARLING STATEMENT BY SIR JAMES HECTOR. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. Giving evidence to-day before the Coal Commission, Sir James Hector said that this colony had no coal to spare for export. In fact the availably supply has been greatly over-estimated. The colony should, in his opinion, import more coal.
