THE GALE IN AUSTRALIA.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, April 25. The steamer Allanga has been towed into Portland. She struck the gale, and lost her propeller, which was the chief damage. She drifted helplessly for two days.
Another vessel is reported to be ashore at Anderson-Inlet. No details are available.
