ROYAL VISIT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, last night. A committee of ladies is engaged in arranging a memento of tho Duchess of Cornwall and York's visit. A telegram was received from the Governor, saying that he would submit the proposed design of a greenstone casket to Princess May. A house-to-house collection was decided on. CITY LOAN. The last instalment of the City Loan has been over-subscribed by some £SOO. IMPORTED COIN. The s.s. Paparoa, which arrived from London last evening, brought coin to the value of £6IOO for the Banks of New Zealand and Australasia. GOLF. The championship of the Auckland Ladies’ Golf Club has been won by Mrs W. R. Bloomfield, who defeated Mrs Geo. Bloomfield in the final by seven up and six to play. The winner secures a handsome silver salver, presented by the Auckland Golf Club, Poor old China’s gonL to pieces, Of her vast possessions reft, Day by day her power decreases, Soon there’ll be bat little left.
