TALK OF A NEW SHIPPING COMPANY. [by TELEQRAI'II—rRESS ASSOCIATION.] Greymouth, last night. A large and representative meeting of merchants and importers was held last evening to consider the advisability of forming a shipping company to work the West Coast trade. An indignant protest was made at the. lax manner of carrying cargo by the Union Company ; also in regard to the cxcessivo passenger charge. It was unanimously decided to interview the importers along the coast, and a strong committee was - appointed to see what support will bo offered, the committee to'report on the 31st at a public meeting , to be held.
