ARRESTS AT GENEVA. WAS ST. PETERSBURG IN A STATE OF SrEGE ? By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright St. Petersburg, April 10. Fivo Russian and two Bulgarian anarchists have been arrested at Conova in connection with tho recent attack on the Russian Consulate. Tho Russian Government is sonding unemployed workmen hr tho towns to their native districts, and closing tho spirit stores during Eastertide. M. Do Witte, Minister of Finance, has warned tho Czar that he dreads the effect upon industry of any declaration that St. Petersburg has been in a state of siege. If the factories wore closed, no army could save disaster arising to the workvig classes.
Largorsld has been sentenced to six years’ penal servitude for an, attempt to shoot M. Pobiedonostzeff.
