(By Telegraph—Press Association). Wellington, last night. Tho Government have commissioned Mr J. 8. Lambert, of Wellington, to prepare the address to be presented by the Premier to the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall at Auckland.

An elderly ■woman named Mrs Doolan expired suddenly of cancer last evening. She has a married daughter. At the adjourned inquest on Vm. Miller, the young man who died very suddenly on March 21st, a verdict of death from natural causes was returned. No direct cause of death was discovered. Dr. Girdler quoted medical authority showing that there are a certain number of sudden deaths which cannot be accounted for. Deceased was riding a horse, when he called out, “I’m done,” and expired almost immediately. Christchurch, last night.

At the monthly meeting of the Board of Governors of Lincoln College it was decided to request the Government to place in charge of the College one or more of the horses presented by Mr Rothschild. The A. and P. Association are to be asked to support the Board’s application. Palmerston North, last night.

At the inquest on the fire on the Waipawa Racecourse the jury returned a verdict that there was no evidence to show the conrse of the fire..
