EDUCATION BOARD. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. Mr James Muir has been elected to the Auckland Board of Education to fill Mr justice Cooper’s 'place. MAYORALTY. The Returning Officer has received the nomination of Dr J. L. Campbell for the Mayoralty. A FATALITY. Mr John Grotty, an old and respected settlor of Waipipi, was found on the Waipipi Road, nearly dead, and he died shortly after, being 'found. He left Waiuku on the previous evening, driving a spring-cart, and must have been thrown out- . ■
