A COMPLAINT.
To tho Editor of the Times. Sir, —There was at one time a pleasure resort the residents of tho town frequently indulged in, namely, a trip around the Haiti beach, but this is certainly not now so enjoyable. There are very many care-fully-kept little cottages of more or less pretension ; tho picturesque effect of which, however, is enhanced (stretching the truth) by a domicile around which is gathered apparently all the refuse of Gisborne. Tho collection, if photographed, would be calculated to interest those who take a love in the incalculable uudesirableness of things, but as a matter of fact is a patent nuisance to those who occupy premises near, and even to the townspeople of Gisborne. The peculiar habitat of the individual calls for attention, but as he appears to be neither under the laws of the Borough, Harbor Board, or County Council, the question is, who shall take the initiative ? —I am, etc., Fresh Air.
