OBNOXIOUS TOLL-GATES.
COUNCILLORS BE SIGN IN A BODY. By Telegraph—Press Association. New Plymouth, last night. At the Taranaki County Council meeting to-day, the proceedings were very animated. Again the question of abolishing toll-gates was brought forward. Eventually, the Chairman suggested the whole body resigning, and thus referring the policy to the ratepayers. A motion was passed to that effect, and, at the close of the meeting, all present handed in resignations.
