STOCK SALES.

To-morrow at the Waeronga-a-hika Yards Messrs Common, Shelton aud Co. and Wyllie and Mason hold an important sale of stock. The entries consist of over oight thousand sheep, including a thousand two and four-tooth wethers, five hundred two-tooth ewes, two thousand four, six, and eight-tooth ewes, eleven hundred full-mouthed ewes, and twenty full-mouthed ranas. Another entry is fivo hundred head of cattle, including one hundred steers, seventy mixed cattle froiaa Opotiki, and one hundred and thirty mixed cattle. A number of draught horses will be offered on account of Mr P. Barker. The stock to be offered at the sale is of first-class quality, and should attract a large number of buyers, The sale commences at 11.30 a.m. Messrs J. B. Kells and G. R. Wyllie will act as auctioneers.

At the Matawhero yards on Friday Messrs Williaiaas and Kettle and the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company hold their usual sales. Messrs Williams and Kettle will offer four thousand sheop, including good lines of 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 2-tooth ewes, and laiaabs. Over a hundred head of cattle will be offered, including some fine young stock. Mr A. F. Kennedy will conduct the sale for Messrs Williaiaas and Kettle. A MOTU PROPERTY.

On Saturday, 30th instant, Messrs Wyllie and Mason will offer for sale Mr R. Berwick’s “ Momona ” property, situated'in the Motu district, within 14 miles of the Rakauroa post office. It comprises 500 acres, 200 acres being in grass, carrying two sheep to the acre; the rest in medium to heavy bush, well adapted for egttle. The improvements consist of good seven-wire’ fencing, dwelling house, outbuildings, stock yard, etc. The dray road now being constructed is made to within 14 miles of the house. The whole property is in capital order, and the only reason for Mr Barwick’s wishing to dispose of it is that his health compels him to relinquish farming pursuits.
