COMPANIES CITED BEFORE CONCILIATION BOARD.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Auckland, last night.
A monster meeting of the Mfners’ Union was held at Waihi in regard to the labor dispute. The scale and conditions of labor as sent to the Companies were received, and passed unanimously. The following propositions were unanimously passed; “ That the offer of Mr Barry to reinstate men if the dispute is dropped be not entertained; that none of the men return to work unless all the men discharged for their connection with the Union be reinstated; that all companies ha Waihi district as notified be cited before the Conciliation Board, in order to adopt the scale passed by the Thames Executive.” The result of the ballot of miners as to whether the Conciliation Board will sit or not was 706 in favour of its sitting, 16 against, and 3 informal.
