Dunedin, last night. At tho City Council mooting to-night tho rocommondation of tho Tramway Committee to appoint MrD. R. Eunson as general manager of tramways when they were taken over, was adopted. It was mentioned that it was not a pormanont appointment, as an export would be probably roquirod when tho electrical system was iustallod. TROOPERS WELCOMED.

Tho eleven troopers who roturnod by the Mokoia woro formally welcomed to-day by the Mayor and mombors of tho Patriotic Committee.
