TIONALISTS RESIST,
FREE FIGHT IN THE COMMONS,
MEMBERS SING “ GOD SAVE IRE LAND.”

In tho Houso of Commons, at midnight, during tho dobato on tho Education Vote, sixteen Nationalists refused to submit to tho closuro.
Tho members woro tlioroupoii suspoudod, but doclinod to loavo tho Houso when ordered to do so.
Tho Sorgoaut-at-Arms callod in tho police to eject tho suspondod mombors.
A froo fight onsuod ovor tho attomptod ejection of Croan. He was the first member ordered to bo quiet. Tho others helping him to rosist tho polico, it took six policomou a poriod of five minutos to carry Crean out. This was oventually done amidst struggling, yells, and cheors. Several of tho Nationalists joined in singing “ God Savo Ireland.”
Most of tho othor fifteen Nationalists resisted the efforts to eject thorn, and in oach caso there was struggling somewhat similar to that in the case of Croan.
