New South Wales Politics.
GRUMBLERS IN EVIDENCE,
THE FEDERATION CHAMPAGNE
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, Feb. 22. Open dissatisfaction exists at tlic political situation in the colony, especially at Sir W. Lync continuing to stay in tlic State Premiership. This is accentuated by tho ro-swoaring of the State Ministers and further prorogation of Parliament to April. With the Federal elections looming ahead, it is not improbable that tho life of tho present Parliament will expire by oilluxion of time boforo it again moots. Tho delay in issuing the now electors’ rights has added to tho complications.
Tho Herald says Parliamentary institutions altogether are in abeyance. The State is governed irresponsibly by a Committee of Ministers. It will be so long oefore Parliament meets again that the Administration will probably have undergone such changes that it will be impossible to fix upon it any reasonable responsibility for any tangible act whatever. The paper hints that the Commonwealth celebrations cost a quarter of a million.
