CALEDONIAN SPORTS—BIG PRIZES.

There are a large number of visitors in town in connection with the affiliated Caledonian Societies’ championship meeting, to bo held on Friday. The total cash value of the prizes is the highest ever offered for a one-day meeting in the colony. THE VISITOBS FBOM INDIA. Very complete arrangements have been made for the reception of the Indian troops, who will be the guests of the Caledonian Sooioties on the Becreation Ground. SWIMMING CONTESTS. At the Napier Swimming Club’s Sports to-night, W. J. Stratton, of Hastings, won the 100 yards Championship of Hawke’s Bay, in ,68 3-sths, which is the record soy the baths.
