Loyal Gisborne Lodge

Tuk annual summoned meeting of Loyal Gisborne Lodge No. 6087, 1.0.0. F., M.U., was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall last

evening. Tlioro was a largo attendance of members, Bro. S. 11. M. Quigley, N.G., presiding. The balance shoot of the Lodge for the year ending December 81, 1900, was pi'osonted and adopted; it showed receipts and expenditure as follows: —Sick and general fund : Receipts £660 13s 7d, expenditure £684 10s 6d; management fund : receipts £237 14s Id, expenditure £206 9s ; surplus fund : receipts £B9 17s JOd, expenditure £64 15s 3d. The capital account stood at: Value of sick and funeral fund, £2107 0s fid ; value of management fund, £55 12s lOd; valuo of surplus fund, £796 4s 4d; total, £2958 17s 7d. The contributions for the year amounted to £395 18s 9d, while sick pay had only amounted to £65 Bs. The number of members in the Lodge stood at 116, of which number 63 wore married and 58 single, with an average ago of 31 years 9 months. A hearty voto of thanks was accorded to the trustees and to the treasurer for the excellent work they had performed during the year. Bro. M. G. Nasmith, P.G.. Bro. M. McLeod, P.G., and Bro. G. Goldsmith, G.M., wero elected as deputies to represent the Lodge at the annual meeting of the Auckland district to bo held at Auckland on Wednesday, February 27th. Bro. C. 11. Ambridge, P.G., was reelected secretary, and Bro. T. Adair, P.G., treasurer.

It was decided to renew the lease of the section now occupied by the Lodge. The matter of aged Oddfellows being entitled to cease contributions and at the same time rocoivo benefits was brought up and adjourned for a future meeting.
