STOCK SALES.
Mr Wvllie yesterday conducted a sale at the residence of Mr J. Sandlant, daily farmer. There was a good attendance, and spirited bidding for the various lots offered. Some excellent dairy stock was submitted for sale, and realised first-class prices. A fine dairy cow was purchased by Mr Hughes, of Makauri, for £8 10s. Mr Hughes also bought another beauty for the same price, and a still further one for £B. The next best price was £7 10s,, given by Mr Walker for a dairy. cow, and other prices reached for the milch cows were: -£6 10s and M 17s 6d. Calves went for M 12s fid each. Three cows brought to the sale by other owners sold at £5 12s 6d| £5 10s, and £5 2s 6d.
