Harbor Board Election.

The Harbor Board election takes place today. There are'six candidates nominated for the two vacant seats, and a like number for the country. Considerable interest is being manifested in the - elec j m, and polling throughout the district should be heavy. The following are the -names of the-can-didates :

Borough of Gisborne: Frank Harris, Edward Pattricks Joyce, Alfred Forde Matthews, William Pettie, William ■ Henry Tucker, James Whinray.

Counties’ Harbor District: William Cooper, Alfred-Dewing, David Dobbie, Duncan Hepburn, A. Y. Ross, F. J. Shelton.

The poll will be taken at the following places between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. : Harbor Board Office, Gisborne; Jtfrs M. Jennings, Whataupoko; Road Board Office, Makaraka; Road Board Office, Ormond; Fub’ic Hall, Patutahi; Waikohu Road Board Office, Te Karaka; Sehoolhouse, Tiniroto; Public Hall, Waimata; Courthouse, Tolago Bay ; Mr W.
