A Scare in Camp.
EATING TINNED FRUIT.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. . A number of naval volunteers in camp at the forts suffered from severe pains and sickness after partaking of stewed fruit. It was afterwards found that the fruit had been prepared in vessels that had been galvanised, and thus subject to the action of the acid in the fruit.
