GERMAN PUNITIVE EXPEDITION,

A German expedition that has been sent out is attributed to tho reported massacre of converts seventy miles westward of Pekin. The Germans demand a heavy monetary indemnity for the piracy and the wounding of Germans. The West River lightermen have resumed work on the employers’ terms.
