Conciliation Board.
[By Telegraph—Press "Association.] Dunedin, last night. The Conciliation Board was engaged to-day hearing a dispute between the metal workers’ assistants and employers. The discussion and consideration showed the points in dispute to be that the operatives asked 8s per day, whereas the employers offered 6s. The operatives asked 44 hours per week and the employers are offering 48. The Board gives its decision, with those of other cases, on Monday’. In the butchers’ dispute the union reported refusing the terms offered by the employers. Tho Board’s decision will be given on Monday.
