roA'ELTY BAY KOAYING CLUB.

A of.xf.uai, meeting of the above Club was held at the shed last evening, when there were present : Messrs ,T. A\ ebb, captain (in the chair), McLeod, Kellett. .Tones, Boole (‘it. Pritchard. Kirk. Fox. Feed, Kewtoti, Boyle. AVarcup, Keane, Bums, Ilarvey, and the secretary. AY. Eraser. A good deal of discussion took place with regard to the handicap double sculls which arc to be rowed off next week for Mr F. J. Oatridge’s handsome trophies. It was proposed by Mr B. Kellett, and seconded bj Mr A. Pool, that Mr E. Jones

be appointed handicapper. An amendment was proposed by Mr J. Harvey, and seconded by Mr A. W. Kirk, that three handicappers be appointed. On the amendment being put to the meeting it was declared carried. Messrs R. Kellett, C. Taylor, and J. Webb were then selected as handicappers lor tire double scull races. The following were elected a Selection Committee to pick the rep. crews to row the Union and Napier Clubs’ reps, m Gisborne at Easter time Messrs W. Eraser, H. Burns, C. Taylor, Arch. Kuk, and J. Webb. The Secretary was instructed to write to the Union Club (Napier) proposing that a race for lOst crews .from each Club be included in the annual fixtures, and also whether a double scull event could be arranged. . The Club then appointed the following gentlemen to carry out the arrangements in connection wi)h the Club's dancing assembly Messrs 0. Taylor, G. lurk, W. Davidson, J. Webb, J. 8001, and A. Pool. . . . , There arc twelve crews m training toi the handicap double sculls to be rowed on next week.
